We are currently in a no-contact period due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our WYB and high school programs are in a holding pattern until at least May 1.   Our plan is to resume our normal volleyball activities as soon as it is safe to do so.  In the event there is no season, we will still hold off season activities.  We are really waiting to hear from OHSAA and the decisions they make based on what Governor DeWine suggests and implements.  

We are continuing to look for boys in grades 6-9 that are interested in trying volleyball.  Any boy that will be entering grades 6-9 next school year (2020-2021), we would like to hear from you using this survey link (https://forms.gle/jctqGXbgho3HKoVM9).  When we hear from you, we will have one of our active players reach out.  Once our open gyms and off season programs start up, we would love to help teach you the game!  

Congratulations to sophomore setter Joe Kolwicz for being named to the JVA Junior Watchlist for the Class of 2022!  What a great accomplishment.  We are looking forward to getting back in the gym ASAP.  Go Cards!

We held tryouts on March 2-4 this week and had 39 boys try out!  We have selected teams and have held our first team practices.  This season we will have Varsity, JV Red and JV Blue teams.  With boys volleyball growing in Worthington and the state of Ohio, the tryout process was more intense than ever, but we feel really strongly about the teams that we have in place.  We are looking forward to another couple weeks of practice before matches get underway.  Two weeks from today JV Red and Varsity will take the court for the first time against Lakewood St. Edward.  We are going to pack the gym for that one!  We are currently working with the athletic department to put some awesome incentives in place to have the Cardinal Crazies and the student body out in full force.  JV Blue will head to St. Charles on March 28 for their first action of the season in a Quad Match against St. Charles, Chaminade Julienne and Worthington Kilbourne.  It is going to be an awesome season in Cardinal Country! 

Two weeks from today, our program will begin the 2019 boys volleyball season.  Tryouts will run from March 4-March 6 with teams being announced on March 6.  This year we will have a freshman team for the first time in program history.  Our men have been working hard in the gym this off season and our program has grown to double its size from last season.  We are looking forward to great things this year as we continue to pave the road for the future of Thomas Worthington boys volleyball.
