Brian Lawless- Head Coach
Fifth Season blawless@wscloud.org Coach Lawless is in his fifth year as the head coach of Cards volleyball. A 2008 graduate of Hilliard Davidson, Coach Lawless was a setter and named first team all-OCC. He played three seasons of club volleyball for Cap City and Vanguard Volleyball. Prior to coaching at TWHS, Coach Lawless served as the freshman boys coach at Hilliard Davidson for 3 seasons. Coach Lawless was named both the Division 1 East Region Coach of the Year and the Division 1 State Coach of the Year in 2021. He is an alumni of The Ohio State University and is a Worthington elementary teacher along with his wife, Kaycee. |
PJ Davis- JV Red Coach
Fifth Season Coach Davis (aka PekJek) is in his fifth season of coaching at Thomas. A 2011 graduate of Briggs High School, he was a four year varsity soccer player for the Bruins. PJ played two seasons of club volleyball at Vanguard as a libero/outside hitter. Prior to coaching at TWHS, he was the assistant coach for Varsity soccer at West High School in Columbus. He is an alumni of Wittenberg University where he played 3 years of varsity soccer and 4 years of club volleyball, serving as Vice President of the Volleyball Club. He is a classroom instructor at Haugland Learning Center for kids on the autism spectrum. Coach PJ also serves as the JV girls volleyball coach at TWHS. |
Bradley Petrella- Assistant
Fourth Season Coach Petrella (or Coach Bradley) is in his fourth year of coaching at Thomas. A 2014 graduate of Hilliard Davidson High School, he played as an outside and middle hitter and made the state semi-finals. Coach Bradley also played 3 seasons of club for Vanguard Volleyball. He is an alum of the University of Dayton and works to support programs for a Columbus-area nonprofit. |
